Building Bridges Between Vision and Execution: A Journey Through European Vc

My vc journey began in 2014 when I joined Copenhagen-based Hellerup Finans as their youngest employee, fresh after completing my undergraduate. Until 2016, I worked closely with portfolio companies, growing my understanding in identifying investment opportunities in a variety of verticals, from bio-tech to retail.

Driven to deepen my education, I pursued my graduate study at Southern University, Denmark and University of Bern, Switzerland. My thesis was designed on how vc’s identifies winning startups, integrating high-profile personal interviews with ten founders from leading European venture capital firms—some developed into relationships with many of them fascinated of the thesis learnings.

From 2019 to 2022, I was entrepreneur in residence at Sparrow Ventures in Zürich, the venture arm of Switzerland's largest group, Migros, one of the world’s largest retailers. In this position, I created and grew various ventures for the Swiss and European markets together with fellow entrepreneurs in residence complementing each other’s main expertise, taking an aggressive rather than passive approach to strengthening the group's verticals. Additionally, I supported the investment team in identifying promising consumer startups.
